LUIS on the road: USA Roadshow from Chicago to Tampa
From the Midwest to Florida: During our USA Roadshow, the LUIS team met with leading manufacturers of construction and agricultural machinery to discuss current requirements, future developments and the role of AI-based safety systems for mobile machinery.
The roadshow started in Chicago, continued via Des Moines and Fargo, North Dakota, and concluded in Tampa, Florida. The schedule was tight, but for good reason: the focus of the trip was on direct exchange with OEMs and customers across the construction and agricultural machinery sectors.
Throughout the meetings, the LUIS team presented its technology roadmap and discussed how upcoming developments align with the requirements of machinery manufacturers in the US market.
One topic was particularly prominent: AI-based pedestrian detection. The discussions confirmed the strong demand for camera-based systems that can reliably detect people in the working environment of mobile machinery. The exchange also provided valuable input for aligning future developments with real-world OEM requirements.
A further highlight of the roadshow took the team directly into the field. Together with a customer, LUIS visited a construction site where the new LUIS SAFE EDGE AI® was demonstrated on a dozer under real operating conditions.
The roadshow once again showed how important direct exchange with OEMs and customers is for developing solutions that address the actual safety challenges faced by mobile machinery in everyday operation.
