New Funding for turn assistance systems starting July 1, 2024

Starting July 1, 2024, turn assistance systems (TAS) for trucks over 3.5 tons subject to tolls can once again only be submitted under the "TAS" funding program. This change ensures a clear distinction between funding programs and improves transparency.

The goal of the funding is to increase road safety, particularly by reducing accidents involving cyclists and pedestrians. Additionally, the use of alternative modes of transport will be promoted. Eligible for funding are commercial vehicles over 3.5 tons, as well as buses with more than nine seats, used for commercial, freelance, non-profit, or public-law purposes.
