LUIS is Among the Winners of the “Grand Prize for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses”

What an evening in Düsseldorf: Alongside numerous impressive entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses from all over Germany, LUIS Technology had the honor of participating in the 2026 “Grand Prize for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses” awards ceremony.

The event is considered one of Germany’s most important business awards. Year after year, companies are evaluated not only based on financial metrics but also through a holistic lens. The focus is on criteria such as innovative strength, sustainable development, social responsibility, customer focus, employee development, and the company’s overall performance.

Merely being nominated for the competition is a special honor, as companies can only be nominated by third parties. They then undergo a multi-stage selection process in which independent juries comprehensively evaluate the companies.

For LUIS, participating was far more than just a competition. The exchange with other small and medium-sized enterprises, the encounters with dedicated entrepreneurs, and the inspiring on-site discussions made the event a special experience. Speakers at the event included North Rhine-Westphalia’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Mona Neubaur; the Mayor of Düsseldorf; and representatives of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation.

And now for the reveal: LUIS Technology was honored as a finalist for the “Grand Prize for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” 2026.

This places LUIS among the exclusive circle of companies that were singled out by the jury following an intensive review. In Hamburg, LUIS was the only company to achieve this status.

For Martin Groschke and Dr. Matthias Feistel, who represented LUIS at the awards ceremony, the honor is above all a recognition of the daily work of the entire team:

“Being named a finalist for the ‘Großer Preis des Mittelstandes’ is a special validation of our path. The award recognizes not only economic success but also innovative strength, responsibility, and sustainable entrepreneurship. We are proud of that.”

Even though we didn’t ultimately win the top prize, we’re taking a lot away from this competition: valuable connections, inspiring conversations, and the confirmation that our commitment to greater safety in the commercial vehicle and machinery sectors is being recognized.
